About Me

I am currently an Assistant Professor and Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Central Florida. My research, teaching, service, and program administration support and innovate writing programs across disciplines and institutions.

My current work is informed by previous positions as an Assistant Professor and Director of Writing programs at Humboldt State University; a graduate teaching assistant, writing consultant, and writing program administrator at Purdue University; and a graduate instructor at the University of Maine.

The impact of my scholarly work has been recognized by national and institutional awards and grants. For example, I have received over $15,000 in institutional support to develop innovative support for students' fellowship and grant proposals at the University of Central Florida; I have consulted with the Western Association of Colleges and Schools to co-coordinate workshops for faculty and administrators preparing for accreditation reviews; and I have been recognized by the American Association of Colleges and Schools recognized with the K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award.
